The Workplace, (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 relate to the physical conditions of the workplace. The regulations require employers to provide minimum workplace standards. Domestic premises are not covered by the regulations.

The regulations cover the following general categories;-

  • Washing facilities

  • Drinking water

  • Accommodation for clothing

  • Facilities for changing clothing

  • Facilities for rest and to eat meals
